There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 models. The 7 inch variant has already been announced but various rumors and leaks have somewhat confirmed the existence of 8 inch and 10.1 inch models.
A couple of photos of these two tablets have been leaked online which further strengthen the reports that these tablets will be unveiled by Samsung very soon. The authenticity of these images can’t be verified of course, so they should be taken with a grain of salt.
The specs of these two tablets have also surface online. The 10.1 model will have a 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution, a dual core processor running at 1.6 GHz, 3 MP rear and 1.3 MP front cameras. Both tablets are rumored to have 1.5 gigs of RAM and both will come with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Both devices come equipped with 16/32 GB of internal memory and micro SD slots with up to 64 GB capacity. The dimensions of the 10.1 have also been leaked and are being claimed to be 243.1 x 176.1 x 7.95 mm.
Another rumor that has been floating around is that these tablets will be powered by Intel Atom processors. If this is true, this could be huge for Intel and its family of Atom processors. The benchmark tests that were leaked showed the Atom processor performing extraordinarily well, and in fact far better than any other Android tablet out there.
Samsung is expected to reveal these tabs at an even on June 20th.
