It wouldn’t be inaccurate to assert that a Samsung device launch event is never too long way at any given time of the year, and so it’s proved yet again with the latest rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. To be precise, the Note 3 phablet’s probably launch event date has been leaked, and is expected to be held after a couple of months, on the 4th of September.

The Galaxy Note has been a trendsetter in the mobile market, as it was quite truly the first of its kind (that is, unless you consider the Dell Streak 5 inch phone to be anything except a half baked and poorly thought out attempt at making a phablet) back when it launched in 2011.

According to Android Geeks, Samsung will conduct a special Samsung Unpacked event on September 4 in Berlin. This event will be a part of the larger IFA 2013 expo to be held in the German city this year.

As for the phablet itself, there has been little definitive news about its specs. The biggest bone of contention between the two separate schools of thought in this matter are related to its screen; some believe Samsung will stick to its tried and tested Super AMOLED display, while others believe the Note 3 will have an IPS LCD screen. What does seem to be a little more concrete is that Samsung will stick to the Snapdragon processors that have served it rather well in its recent devices, but even there, Samsung could possibly go with its octa-core Exynos CPU instead.

Regardless, the next few weeks will surely provide a steady stream of leaks and information about the premier phablet that is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Stay tuned!
