Back in the day we'd wait for 30 minutes for a single image to download to our computer just so we could see a picture of dear old Aunt Ethel's new cat. The wait seemed forever. And downloading a movie? That wasn't even remotely possible even if our computers and dial-up modems could handle the bandwidth.
Today, we complain if we have to wait for more than a few seconds to download an image. Maybe several minutes for a movie. And instantaneous visual gratification is the norm online. But that doesn't mean your iPhone is running at full speed and that extra second or two you could save if you fine tuned your smartphone would make you very happy, wouldn't it?
