As per the latest reports by tech pundits, Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2, a 12.2 inch tablet, would go into production by early next year. The large tablet by Samsung has recently got its WiFi enabled model as well as an LTE model S905V certified by Bluetooth SIG.
The 'V' at the end of the model number signifies it more likely as the Verizon model, hinting that Samsung will try to make its first large tablet widely popular, considering that the consumers prefer smaller tablets over their larger counterparts. The reports also provide details bout the tablet screen. Samsung has opted for a film based capacitive screen, provided by China-based Shenzhen O-film tech.
Though the large form factor with 12.2 inch screen size may not be easy to handle and as portable as others but its large screen size would be great to watch videos. The tablet could prove to a boon for those who are more concerned about productive use of the tablet rather than entertainment. However, according to the present market trend( preference of phablets or 7-8 inch tablets over large ones), Galaxy 12.2 note's sucess is still unpredictable.
The other major specifications of Galaxy Note 12.2 include : 3GB of RAM, 2560×1600 display, 32GB internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. Though there is no update from Samsung about its launch, but it is expected that Samsung will officially launch the device in early 2014.
