Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 officially announced
This entry was posted on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.
The news of Samsung Galaxy Ace 3’s arrival was drowned by the buzz created by the Apple event yesterday. Another reason might be that Ace 3 is an entry level phone, aimed at the mid-range customer base, and hence is not too exiciting. The specs are clearly not the best in town, but that’s only to keep the price low.
Ace 3 will be running Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 on a 1 GHz dual core processor. One of the biggest plus points is that the phone comes in both 3G and LTE models. The LTE model has a slightly faster processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The screen is a 4 inch LCD panel, with a resolution of 480 X 800. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera along with an LED flash.
Internal storage space is different on both models. The LTE version will have 8 GB of internal memory, with about 5 GB available for use. On the other hand, the 3G version will have 4 GB space, with only 1.77 GB available for the user. Storage can be expanded up to 64 GB so running out of space shouldn’t be an issue.
The Galaxy Ace 3 comes with some new Samsung software preinstalled, such as Smart Stay, S Voice and S Translator. The phone will come with the same Touchwiz user interface that we’ve been seeing in all other Samsung Android phones. This phone is expected to be launched at the June 20th event in London, along with the Galaxy S4 Zoom.
