Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active for AT&T photo leaked

Another day, another leak about another version of the Samsung flagship smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S 4. The Galaxy S 4 Active has been rumored to be a rugged variant of the flagship that has had its fair share of speculation in the last few weeks. Although the official launch event for the S 4 Active (along with a whole host of other upcoming Samsung devices) is scheduled for June 20th in London, photos of the Galaxy S 4 Active coming to the USA through AT&T have just been leaked. Read on to know more about the device!
Codenamed the SGH-I537, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active is an all weather device that does not skimp out on raw performance. Little by the way of concrete information was available about its specs despite the incessant speculation about it in the recent past, unlike its cousins – the Galaxy S 4 Mega, S 4 Zoom, and S 4 Mini.
The Galaxy S 4 Active will apparently be no different from the full fledged Galaxy S 4 in almost every way but one, going by the latest report. This means that the S 4 Active will have a 5 inch, full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, and the like. The only difference will be that the camera will be a 8MP shooter, rather than the 13 MP one in the Galaxy S 4.
The Galaxy S 4 Active may seem to be a slightly unnecessary addition to Samsung typically ever burgeoning roster of smartphones in its oeuvre, but it is presumably an effort to counter Sony Mobile’s efforts with its dustproof and waterproof flagship, the Sony Xperia Z.
