Last week, Samsung co-CEO JK Shin had claimed that the Galaxy S 4 was on track to reach sales of 10 million units by the end of this week. In case there were any people skeptical of Samsung’s clout in the market, Mr. Shin’s prediction has proved to be right on the spot as Samsung have indeed announced that their flagship Android smartphone has zoomed past the 10 million sales mark after all. In the process, the Korean giant has also unveiled the same Galaxy S 4 smartphone again, but in different hues!
“On behalf of Samsung, I would like to thank the millions of customers around the world who have chosen the Samsung GALAXY S4. At Samsung we’ll continue to pursue innovation inspired by and for people,” said the Samsung co-CEO JK Shin, as quoted by Sammobile. The S 4 is undoubtedly the best selling phone from Samsung of all time, with the 10 million mark having been breached in under a month of its launch – that’s as impressive a stat as you will ever get.
As for the matter related to new colors, the Galaxy S 4 currently exists in two color versions – black and white (or in marketing speak: White Mist and Black Forest). The new colored models to be added this summer include Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, followed by Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn. The Red Aurora Galaxy S 4 will reportedly be exclusive to just AT&T in the USA however.
The Galaxy S 4 has proved to be a huge hit, as most had expected, with Samsung’s marketing, financial and technological clout simply overpowering almost all of its competitors, bar Apple, into submission. Apart from their build quality, Samsung devices leave precious little for skeptics to complain about nowadays, and they most certainly aren’t done yet!
