Apple drops prices of refurbished iPad 2 and iPad 3

In news that will be music to the ears of any iPad fan looking to get a deal on the refurbished version of the tablet of their choice, Apple has decided to slash the prices of the refurbished models of the iPad with WiFi + 3G, along with the iPad with WiFi + LTE Cellular. Unfortunately, WiFi models, which tend to be the cheapest of the bunch, have been kept away from these price cuts.
The Apple iPad may be a lot of things, but one thing it isn’t is being an economical tablet. Despite the introduction of the relatively cheaper iPad Mini, the $329 entry point in to the world of iOS and iPad apps can be a barrier that is nigh on insurmountable for a large number of people. Then again, premium pricing is the crux of Apple’s business model, and given that their iPads corner the vast majority of the sales in the tablet market in every single quarter, the Cupertino company has certainly succeeded in convincing its customers to part with a several hundreds of dollars to get the tablet or smartphone of their choice.
In any case, the iPad 2 has been priced at $349 for its 16 GB WiFi + 3G version. That is $170 off its usual $529 price tag. The higher end models have had their prices cut by up to $200.
