Free app of the week: Early Bird
This entry was posted on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
Early Bird is the latest app to go free on the Apple app store. This is a light and fun-filled game, packed with adorable and gorgeous graphics. Developed by the company called Booyah, Early Bird is available for both iPhone and iPad devices.
The gameplay is pretty simple and the controls consist entirely of finger swipes to get the bird from one point to another. The objective of the game is to try and get the Early Bird from its starting position to the worm, by swiping the screen with your finger. The number of swipes are limited for each level, and the path is riddled with various obstructions and other elements. Early Bird is physics based, and the aim is to find the best way to reach the destination, even though there are multiple ways to finish each level.
As you progress through the game, levels become more and more challenging, which makes it hard to get a perfect score. This subsequently enhances the replay value of Early Bird. As is the norm with mobile games nowadays, an in-app purchase is available to help you solve the levels if you get stuck.
The game description on the app store reads:
Help the Early Bird catch the worm! But be careful, challenges await as you flutter through over 160 amazing levels. Discover beautiful landscapes & earn achievements as you swipe your way to success in this incredible action puzzle game.
