iPad 3 to be launched in March!

This may be just another bag of rumors. But it's interesting to note how far and wide they tend to spread, and some believe that these rumors may have a ring of truth to them. According to AllThingsD, the Apple's iPad 3 announcement will come in the first week of March, 2012. There are no confirmed reports on this. Last time we heard, there were rumors that the iPad 3 will be released in February.
The 'retina display' idea is quite interesting, and has been posted by the Japanese site Macotakara. This website regularly posts Apple-related rumors, but not all are accurate. The picture shows a screen component like LCD panel which is manufactured by Sharp. It is a 9.7-inch display screen and features Cupertino's trademark Retina Display technology.
The retina basically refers to a display which has more than 330 pixels-per-inch (ppi). If you view the display from a distance of 12 inches, you will be seeing a display that is the maximum which can be observed by the human retina. The iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S also have this technology. The iPad 2, incidentally, doesn't.
The website Macotakara writes that the display is QVGA, and will probably be used in the iPad 3. The rumors are all that we have. We will only know what Apple's next generation iPad is like when we see it.
Probably in March.
