Batman: Arkham City Lockdown – The Dark Knight is at It Again!

Why is it that Batman always seems to get the best video games while Superman gets the crappiest ones? Case in point, Superman for the iOS by Chillingo, which sports a red and blue sprite that they hoped to pass off as the Man of Steel. Now take a look at the Dark Knight's game for iOS devices, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown.

This is the iOS port of the very successful console game that stars everyone's favorite Caped Crusader. In the game Batman finds himself in the middle of Gotham City while it is being overrun by escaped prisoners from Arkham Asylum. You get to face almost all of Batman's old foes like Two Face, Penguin, and of course the Joker.

The visuals of the game are stunning, from the environments up to the character designs, this is all thanks to the game's Unreal engine. Yes the makers of Arkham City Lockdown used the same graphics engine as that other impressive iOS game, Infinity Blade I and II, so you may notice some similarities between them, which is always good.

There are plenty of unlockable extras in the game that will keep players coming back for more, so it is suggested that if you are to play Arkham City Lockdown that your iOS device is fully charged, or you should at least bought the charger along with you. One of the coolest extras in Arkham Lockdown is the ability to change the skin of the Dark Knight, there is even a skin that will make him look like the big-chinned Batman from the cartoon series; you can even play using the Adam West version, which is awesome!

So it seems that in the case of video games, Batman always gets the upper hand from Superman, and their gap just got wider with Batman: Arkham City Lockdown.
