Will the New iPad 3 Finally Have Retina Display?

It looks like Apple will be continuing with their tradition of releasing a new model right after the previous one; the new iPad 3 seems to be set for a release date of early next year. The new iPad is rumored to have a retina display, pretty much like the one found in the iPhone 4 and 4s. But if you think that the resolution is the same in the iPad 3 then you might be a bit disappointed.
The new iPad 3 looks a lot slimmer than the previous iPad 2 model, which is already pretty thin. Apple states that with a thinner tablet, hopefully the battery life will get longer as well. But the question on every Apple enthusiasts' minds is if the new iPad will finally have the high resolution retina display. The rumors abound saying that the iPad 3 will have some form of retina display; though not as crisp as that of the iPhone 4 and the 4th generation iPod Touch, it will still satisfy most consumers.
The production and release date of the new iPad is still unclear since Apple is still looking for a new manufacturer for their touch screen LCDs, following their heated exchange of lawsuits with their previous supplier, Samsung. Though negotiations are still underway, rumor has it that Apple has already chosen Japanese TV-giant Sharp as their new LCD supplier for the new iPad.
