Being a teacher is one of the most rewarding jobs on the face of the planet. Knowing that you have made a positive impact in the life of a child is one of the best feelings any one could ever have. As rewarding as it is, it’s a lot of hard work, being able to engage them in way that they enjoy what they are doing, as well as learn from it.
One thing when it comes to teaching is, there are always new methods one must try in order to get the results wanted. One method that has great results, where children have fun, as well as learn are through apps. Here are a few apps you can use within the classroom or even at home with your own kids.
- Intro Math – This app can be used on the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. This app teaches the pre-schooler basic concepts through an assortment of games and puzzles using wooden blocks.
- Pictureka! – This app can be used on the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone. This app builds the pre-schooler’s observation skills. Different objects are hidden in the picture of a particular theme. This helps pre-schoolers to group like items, as well as learns about the differences that they have. Great learning tool!
- Kids Song Machine – This app can be used on the iPhone. Have a sing along in the classroom, as the children learn the lyrics of each other ten songs, that comes with this app.
- Tozzle – This app can be used on the iPod Touch and the iPhone. This app ranges in a variety of puzzles from easy to difficult. It has a great child interface where the objects are silly and kids will fall in love with them.
The mark of a true teacher, as well as parent, is never giving up on trying new methods. They will try until they find one that works for the child.
