Nokia has earlier today announced the introduction of Nokia Drop, a Software that allows users to push content from a PC to a phone. The software is a creation of Nokia Beta Labs and is designed for select Symbian ^1 and Symbian ^3 devices.
The software involves the installation of the Drop PC application as well as brpwser extension apart from the installation of the actual application on your phone. The application works only on Nokia Symbian devices and I was unable to install it on the Samsung Omnia HD – a Symbian device – but made by Samsung.
The software, currently in Beta currently boasts of three features: To push content to the phone’s home screen as a background, the ability to push a picture from the computer to your phone, and the ability to send a web link to the phone. More features are expected in the future.
