Apple’s MobileMe To Get Revamped UI?

Rumors are sprouting in about the chances of Apple planning to launch a revamped version of its MobileMe service next month. Folks over at iLounge are citing a “trusted” source from an educational institution who has revealed that the current version of MobileMe is no longer available. Apple is asking people to sign up for the 60 day trial version of mobileMe as a stop gap method to cover the gap between the final MobileMe shipment and the launch of the new version.
As of now, the report does seem to be trustworthy because the the option to sign up for the year-long paid service without first test-driving it for 60 days is not displayed. Apple is also expected to support the current version only for a year after which they will bring in the revamped version of MobileMe.
There have been recent reports of Apple reportedly holding an event sometime in April where they might announce iOS 5 and along with it, the revamped MobileMe service.
Let’s see how true those rumors turn out to be.
