Samsung’s Galaxy S II launched a few days ago has been known to run Samsung;s own dual core Exynos application processor. There were rumors though about the phone running a Tegra 2 chip. However, it was revealed by Samsung’s own PR officials that the Exynos version will be only available in select markets. Now, folks over at hardware review site Anandtech have posted benchmark results of the GT-i9103 said to be running Tegra 2
This seems to be because of a Super AMOLED screen like shortage wherein companies had to opt for alternative display technologies like SLCD – just that in this case, the shortage is of Samsung’s own Exymos processor
Anyway, if you are the kind who is bothered about the performance difference between these two, to be frank, it won’t be visible much in terms of real world performance. It is still unclear where the Tegra 2 based versions would go on sale.
