iPhone 5, iOS 5 Announcement on June 5, 2011?

If you are even remotely close to being an Apple fan, the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California would hold a special place in your hearts for sure. For the uninitiated, this is the same place where Apple has made many of its historic product launches. In the last major Apple event held here, the company held its WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) in June 2010 at the center. This was at the same event where they also launched the iPhone 4. Since it has become a norm of sorts for Apple to launch new products there in June, this year too, people are looking forward to such a possibility. While there has been no intimation from Apple regarding this year’s WWDC yet, we now have some evidence regarding a major event happening here in June 2011.

According to people who managed to sneak in on the schedule for events in the month of June 2011 at Moscone Center, there is a “Corporate Meeting” scheduled for June 5 – June 9, 2011 at the venue. The name of the company whose corporates would meet here is not revealed though. These dates coincide with the usual dates during which Apple has traditionally held their annual WWDC event. For the same reason, there is a talk about the possibility that the “Corporate Meet” is actually an Apple event – most likely, the 2011 WWDC. It is also being told that Apple would launch the iPhone 5 and the final version of iOS on these dates. That said, there is always a chance that Apple may surprise us all and announce a last minute change of plans (especially now that there has already been a talk of something happening there in June)

Going by what we have seen in the previous years, we might see Steve Jobs taking center stage at the event with the likes of Tim Cook, Phil Schiller, and Scott Forstall, chipping in at various stages of the new product announcements.

Anyway, with iOS 4.3 ad even the iPad 2 yet to arrive; we seem to have quite a decent line up of Apple products to be announced in the months to come!
