We have been hearing about HTC’s upcoming flagship 4G handset – the Thunderbird for the past few weeks. Scheduled to arrive on Verizon’s CDMA network in the US, the device would be analogous to the Evo 4G which is available on Sprint. Until now, the spec sheet of the device has not been revealed. That might have been until today because a German website seems to have come across the sec sheet of the phone and it sure does make for an interesting read.
The phone will sport a 1.2Ghz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core CPU and is rumoured to run Andrid 2.2 as well. Being 4G, it would support Verizon’s new LTE network. The screen is the same size as the Evo 4G at 4.3 inches. It gets an 8-megapixel shooter at the back good for HD video recording as well. The front camera as listed in the spec sheet is an amazing 5-megapixel one! We have our doubts on that one though. The phone also gets 16 GB internal memory and a very powerful 1800mAh battery
We might get to know if this one is displayed at the CES, which begins just a few days from now.
