SkyFire Browser Arrives for iOS

Soon after the approval of Opera Mini on the Apple App Store, other browsers have followed suit and submitted their apps for approval. The latest amongst these was Skyfire which has had its browser approved for use on iOS devices.

It will be available on the morning of Thursday, November 4, on the Apple App Store. Unlike Opera Mini Skyfire will include a sort of Flash video support. The browser will convert flash videos into HTML5 which is compatible with iOS, and stream the converted video to the browser. This will offer users some level of flash support – albeit indirectly.

This video conversion will only work for flash videos. There is still some way to go before you’d be playing flash games on your idevices!
