Well well, Google and Facebook has been since the past year or so playing a quiet cyber battle vying for the top spot for the most visited website on the planet. While the traditionally dominant Google managed to edge out Facebook by a tiny margin, the fact that Facebook could come so close to Google was an achievement in itself. More so for a company that didn’t exist in 2003!
Facebook is obviously going for the kill and it realizes that being the best social media player out there isn’t enough. If Facebook can tie users to a bunch of services that it can provide to its users, quite like how Google does it, there is a chance that it might be able to counter Google. To start things off, how about a new e-mail service that could rival Google’s Gmail?
Well, that seems to be under way as rumors point out about the possibility of Facebook releasing a new e-mail service starting next week. Apparently, people have been invited for an event scheduled to be held at California on Monday and many people believe it is the Facebook email service that would be unveiled at the event.
What do you think is being unveiled then? Any guesses?
