Acer Announces Five New Tablets; App Store
Acer has announced that it would be launching as many as five new tablets. Two of them were revealed recently while the rest of the line up would be shown early next year. Acer has also announced that it would come up with an app store of its own.
The Android based tablets would come in screen sizes of 5-, 7-, and 10-inches. They have also planned to bring another 10-inch device, and a large dual-screen, 14-inch tablet called the Iconia in 2011 as well. Both these would however run Microsoft’s Windows OS. These new tablets are expected to be launched between February and April 2011. There is no word as to when the App Store would be up and ready to go.
The launch of these new tablets come at a time when Acer had recently unveiled a new phone complete with a 4.8 inch display, a 1Ghz snapdragon processor and running Android.
